1. Port de Hourtin Marina, North West Bordeaux

This is the only port, or marina or the Lac d'Hourtins, with a capacity of 471 berths, it offers complete protection from wind whilst also allowing easy access for users.

For any rental seasonal berth,you should email the port manager stating your identity, characteristics of your boat, plus a photocopy of the insurance and the rental date desired. The manager will then contact you based on availability.

When you arrive you need to contact the Harbour during opening hours to help you take care of the administrative requirements, be made aware of the layout of the lake, the safety rules and the Hourtin Port regulations.

Port office opening hours are -

July and August: every day from 10:00 to 12:00

From September to June: Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 12:00

2. Port of Arcachon Marina, West Bordeaux

Arcachon

It is also the second largest marina on the Atlantic Coast with 2 600 moorings.

Since 2007, it has been home to a heritage quay reserved for the Basin’s traditional boats: pinasses (long narrow flat-bottomed boats) sailing barges, tall ships…, the entrance to the Port is marked by the Monument to those who have perished at sea, created by Claude Bouscau, a sculptor awarded the Grand Prix de Rome (1935). Depending on the angle from which it is viewed the sculpture takes the form of a cross or an anchor.
