1. Zoo Bassin d'Arcachon

With more than 800 animals, spread across an area of 22 hectares, the zoo offers you the chance to discover extraordinary and rare animals.

Their collection of animals includes Indian rhinos, orangutans from Borneo, giraffes, African elephants, white tigers, red pandas, lemurs, brightly coloured parrots and much more. Alongside the animals you will find various fun and educational activities for the whole family to enjoy.

As well as a snack outlet there are picnic facilities.

2. La Foret de Robin, Soulac-sur-Mer

Come and experience the ancient art of thousands of years... archery!

You can learn safe handling of a bow and pretend that you are in fact Robin Hood. Or you can learn to use a blowpipe - you will learn to control your breath and accuracy. All this and you can test your skills in the tree top assault course too!

For children from 7 years, adults, beginners or advanced, fun for everyone.

Forest Robin is also available for events: birthdays, schools, businesses.

3. La Ferme Exotique Animal & Nature Park, South Bordeaux

With over 1000 animals to meet, from around 75 different species, from the very smallest, all the way up to the largest breeding camels in France.

Entertaining and educating through fun and interactive activities, you are able to approach some of the animals for a real sensory exchange. Animals from around the globe are presented, such as llamas, antelope, ostrich, capybara, water buffalo and numerous species of birds.

Children's activities include carriage rides, bouncy castles and games, riding on a camel, face painting, swimming, pony rides, a petting zoo and a petit train. You can also visit the carriage museum which houses a display of horse-drawn carriages through the ages.

4. Zoo de Bordeaux-Pessac

With a varied and interesting mix of wildlife, you can learn about the animals, conservation and about the zoo's research projects, whilst walking amidst the enclosures.

Their newest exhibit allows you to enter into an aviary and to get close to the magnificent tropical and colourful birds that live there. You will also find a snack bar, picnic areas, playgrounds, inflatables and a gift shop.

The park is open all year. From October to February they open Monday to Friday from 13:30 to 17:30 and Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays from 10:00 to 17:30.
