The website and app offer up-to-date information on the number of bikes available at each station, so you and your friends can plan your journey more easily. The first thirty minutes of your hire are free.

Much like the Boris Bikes in London or the Vélo Bleu in Nice, this type of bike hire is incredibly popular in most large cities - and Bordeaux is no different.

The landscape of Bordeaux lends itself especially well to cyclists. Not only do you have glorious countryside and quiet roads (away from the main arteries that is), but you have tremendous choice of marked cycle routes and paths.

The city of Bordeaux, despite having a busy and traffic heavy centre, is actually very well set up for cycling.
