Cycling routes in Bordeaux

The city of Bordeaux, despite having a busy and traffic heavy centre, is actually very well set up for cycling. With cycle paths, the long stretch of waterfront promenade along the Gironde estuary and the multitude of V3 city bikes for rent you would be hard pushed not to take advantage of travelling by bike. It may also surprise you to know that whole of the Atlantic coast and the towns that are situated on it from the Grand Dune du Pilat all the way to tip at Soulac-sur-Mer are linked by well designed and marked cycle paths, making this a haven for cyclists and those who love the outdoors.
