Just on the border of The Dordogne and on the River Dordogne is the wonderful market town of Castillon la Bataille. Every Monday morning the streets around the square and all around the town are lined with vibrant market stalls selling local and regional produce, flowers, breads, baskets, clothes, kitchen utensils, materials and much more. All along the route of the market you will find bars and cafés to stop for a coffee or drink and watch the daily life go by.
