The only festival in France or in the world to present a program dedicated to young winners of international competitions.
Today, "Les Estivales de Musique en Médoc" is recognised as a springboard for these talented young artists. The ambition is to become Estivales in July a must on the paths of the major festivals such as La Roque d'Anthéron, Orange or Aix-en-Provence.
Hosted in a variety of chateaux in the Medoc region these concerts take place in the evening, at 21:00, generally outdoors, and offer a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the music as well a the atmospheric chateaux.
History
Régine Roux, now President of honor founder, created in 2003 the Association "Estivales de Musique en Médoc". Driven by the ambition to discover the most promising talents of the classical music (piano, violin, cello, vocals, harp, flute, guitar, trumpet, trombone, etc.), she imagined the festival where the most prestigious wine estates in Médoc serve as a showcase for the artists as exceptional as the wine produced.
