History
Founded by Konstantin Tachkin in 1994, the Saint Petersburg Ballet Theatre is one of Russia’s leading classical ballet companies. It is based in a magnificent studio complex which in Imperial times served as the House of Officers and which is situated at the very heart of Saint Petersburg on Liteiniy Prospect. The company has in its repertoire the masterpieces of the classical repertoire. Works such as Giselle, Don Quixote, La Bayadère, Les Sylphides and Paquita. And, the Tchaikovsky classics Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty.
