A private art initiative that is open to the public

featured in Sights & sites

The Institut Culturel Bernard Magrez wants to be a bridge between tradition and innovation.

The building offers a new original space of cultural dissemination, meeting, exchange and creation, and from a desire to make contemporary art more accessible to better understand and feel better in a case made of pleasure and contemplation.

With a permanent collection of contemporary art and many temporary exhibitions this mansion in the centre of Bordeaux offers a quiet atmosphere to enjoy art. The small gardens are also very pleasant to wander through. You can enjoy a glass of wine from one of the wineries of Bernard Magrez.

Guided tours are offered either during or outside public opening hours.

  • "A lovely Bordeaux house with different art offerings. We saw a mix of graffiti art and French crystal. Free on the first Sunday in the month and as we were at Le Grand Maison for lunch this was a great way to spend time afterwards." - Trip Advisor
  • "Not to be missed by the contemporary and street art lovers. JonOne, Rouge, Monkeybird.... to name just a few whose works have been displayed here. Great venue in the stylish establishments." - Trip Advisor
  • "Glad I made the effort to find this place, it's 3 separate galleries in different buildings and a garden with some sculptures, Excellent eclectic mix when I went. There's a small entrance fee." - Trip Advisor
