This small museum was established in 1975 by local people who wanted to preserve and remember their local heritage and the history of the Medoc / Bordeaux area.

History, heath, modern forestry and current resorts, the fascinating story of the Médoc man, evoked through memories of his past labours and looking to the future. Enjoying learning more about the area that was once a hive of farming and is now now of the west coasts most popular beach resorts!

The exhibition includes:
The formation and evolution of the Médoc geography,
The flora and fauna of the moor and lake areas,
The territory and urban centers of the town of stanchions,
The rural domestic and laborious life of old,
The forest-related activities, major economic powerhouse.

When to come

Open in July and August, Monday to Friday 15:00-19:00. In June and September, open from Tuesday to Thursday 15:00-18:30. The rest of the year, it opens during school holidays and for groups by appointment.

How to get passes

Tickets cost 4€. Reduced to 2€ for children under 17.
