La Grand'Vigne Restaurant, Martillac

Two Michelin starred restaurant among the vineyards overlooking a lake

featured in Restaurants Updated

Chef Nicolas Masse offers in this restaurant a combination of traditional French cuisine, made with fresh seasonal ingredients from the southwest sourced from local producers, with unusual influences from all around the world. His creations can be paired with a large selection of wines, by the counsel of head sommelier Aurélien Farouil.

The restaurant is set in a beautiful 18th-century orangery overlooking the nearby lake and the vineyards that surround the hotel Les Sources de Caudalie, to which it belongs. There is also a terrace. The original but down-to-earth dishes are served "à la carte" or as part of different tasting menus.

Open from Wednesday to Friday, 19:30-21:30. Open on Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 to 13:45, and from 19:30 to 21:30.

Visitor comments

  • "I loved this restaurant. Everything was perfect from the food to the service. We chose the five course dinner which was in fact amazing value. There was so much that I had to miss out the fish course to ensure I could eat the dessert!" - Trip Advisor
  • "As an experienced traveller, I can't recommend this spot highly enough for a stellar dinner in the Bordeaux region. In addition to outstanding food, the restaurant is in an idyllic, peaceful setting in the country... most romantic and memorable." - Trip Advisor
  • "The quality of food and service, as you would expect is incredible. However I would say it was even better than expected and the chef is clearly a food genius. I would also say that for the level of cooking the price is warranted and worth it. I cannot wait to return." - Trip Advisor
