President Hollande Opens the World's Biggest Wine Fair in Bordeaux

François Hollande makes his first visit to 'Vinexpo' since 1981

President of France, François Hollande, was in Bordeaux on Sunday to open the 18th Vinexpo in Bordeaux.

He made promises to support the wine growing sector, which is France's second biggest source of exports.

Vinexpo, which started in 2006, alternates between Bordeaux and Hong Kong and CEO Guillaume Deglise said that the global industry is now worth much more than 373 billion euros.

The event is strictly for wine and spirits trade professionals and associated businesses and runs until 18th June.
