Situated in the heart of the Margaux appellation, this estate has an ideal location. The beautiful chateau and surrounding gardens are home to a B&B.
This estate has a long history which can be traced back as far as the 14th century when it was a defensive tower. In 1522 Pierre de Lhomme, a wealthy Bordeaux draper, bought the house turning it into a vast estate and planting the first vines. In the 19th century the castle was renovated and turned into a stunning neoclassical palace.
Their first wine was classified Grand Cru in 1855, and is made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot varieties. They also produce 3 further red wines and a rosé.
The estate can be visited for tours, tastings and thematic visits. The chateau is now also a B&B.
