The association "Memorial de la Forteresse du Nord-Medoc" wants to remember to future generations the history of men during the Second World War, and the efforts of French forces to destroy this German fortress.

The museum consists of information panels (photos, documents, maps, etc ..), showcases containing items from the time of occupation and an audiovisual retrospective 'fighting for the release of the pocket of the Médoc'. Guides and trilingual booklets can guide you to the best understanding of the museum.

Site visits are conducted from the museum. A guided and narrated tour from the standpoint of military architecture and the human point of view through the story of the life around the building and fighting for the liberation of one of the 37 German positions. The position (S 307), coastal battery, has 22 bunkers.

When to come

Open to the public in July and August: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 17:00 to 19:00.

You can book a private tour, all year round, with a minimum of 10 people.

How to get passes

Tickets cost 3€, 2€ for groups over 10 people and 1€ for children. They can also include a package visit to the historical sites for 6€ or 2€ for children.
