La Cigale Campsite , Andernos-les-Bains

For over 40 years they have had a passion for humanized camping

featured in Camping & glamping Updated

In a wooden cabin, a furnished tent, a lodge, a bungalow or with your own caravan, you will find a cosy and secure environment, ideal for children and travelers in search of nature, calm and comfort.

With several options for your stay you will find something right for you.

Take a pitch for your own tent or caravan, with or without electric and water on your pitch. Or choose one of their cabins with accommodation for 4 or 5 people, set on large plots. Then if you want something a bit more unique, why not try their new lodges. These semi permanent tents are midway between the traditional camping and rustic comfort of the treehouse.

There is an onsite snack bar open from 8:30 to 23:00 everyday in peak season. Serving a choice of snacks and freshly made pizza, to eat in or take away.

There are also 2 outdoor swimming pools. A larger 1 for adults and a smaller 1 for children. There are also lots of activities going on to entertain young ones.

  • "August 2014 was our 5th year at La Cigale and every year gets better and better. The owners Bernard, Dominique and Marie run the site like clockwork and are extremely friendly and helpful. There is plenty of traditional French evening entertainment - I highly recommend bingo night every Wednesday evening and the boules comp! The toilets and showers are cleaned throughout the day so are always spotless! Camping pitches are very spacious and most are shaded. The site it'self is in a great location - walking distance into Ares and only a few minutes drive into Andernos and local beaches. The campsite provides evening meals from the snack bar which again are faultless - you must try Damien's pizzas! You can request baguettes, croissants and pain au chocolate for breakfast if you don't fancy the morning walk to the local boulangerie. The campsite is very child friendly but also caters for young couples adults and elderly holiday makers. I can't speak highly enough of this site and would recommend it to anybody. Already planning next years trip." - Trip Advisor

  • "We stayed at La Cigale in June 2014 and found the site charming and the facilities first class. The site is family run and subject to the closest attention whilst remaining friendly and helpful. It is situated within walking distance of a small town and is convient for visiting a very beautiful area. We would gladly stay again and thoroughly recommend the site." - Trip Advisor
