Tourist Train
A delightful coastal train that takes you from the tip of the Medoc peninsula
Travelling from the port at the very tip of the peninsula, at the opening of the Gironde estuary, La Pointe de Grave, the train travels down through Le Verdon and on to Soulac-sur-Mer.
The PGVS liaises Pointe de Grave to Soulac-sur-Mer (les Arros). At 7km long, this railway allows tourists to discover the forest at a slow pace, the Atlantic Ocean, and to see, in good weather, the lighthouse of Cordouan.

How to book
There is no need to pre-book, unless you are travelling as a large group, in which case you should call the tourist office on the number above. The train runs daily in July and August:
Departure from Soulac at 10h30-11h30-12h30-15h30-16h30-17h30-18h30
Departures from Pointe de Grave: 10h-11h-12h-15h-16h-17h-18h

You can get tickets from either of the starting stations. Price: € 4 oneway / € 7 round trip (free to children aged 3 years and under).
