Soulac-sur-Mer Beaches

Most northerly beaches of the 'Côte d'Argent' at Soulac-sur-Mer

featured in Beaches Updated

The beaches extend to 7km of fine-sand beaches along the Atlantic coast; Centre Beach, South Beach and Amelie Beach making up the most popular and closest to the town.

These three beaches are also monitored by lifeguards during the summer months, so are perfect family beaches.

It's possible to rent beach tents if you're planning to spend the day at the beach and feel you need the shade from the sun...what better way to spend at day by the coast?!

Water Safety & Clarity

This is the Atlantic Ocean so don't expect the sea to be calm or warm. Still good for a quick dip, although the water here is better known for its good surfing and watersports conditions.

The beaches are lifeguard protected during the busy summer months.

Beach Quality

Long stretches of soft white sand, backed with sea reeds and sand grasses.

Watersports Nearby

Being on the Atlantic coast the area is popular with all kinds of watersports and they have several 'tiralos' (aquatic wheelchairs) available on each lifeguarded beach for those who need them.

Another popular beach sport is 'aeroplage' or beach karting. There are several school who can take you out and train you safely. It's a great activity for children.
