Maison de la Cote Villa
3 bedroom Villa near Bordeaux. Sleeps 6
Beaches and ocean, forest and lakes meet in perfect harmony in this much sought after area south of Bordeaux, known as ‘Bisca Grands Lacs’. Golden sandy beaches line the Atlantic coast as far as the eye can see, walking and cycling trails criss-cross the tranquil verdant pine forests whilst the three ‘Grands Lacs’ offer that tantalising combination of water sports, beaches and swimming alongside vibrant villages and small marinas.
Tucked away in the peaceful town of Parentis-en-Born, just 1.3km from the centre’s shops and restaurants, Maison de la Côte is a delightful escape on the edge of Lac de Biscarrosse. With its enclosed gardens, private pool, and relaxed atmosphere, it’s the perfect base for exploring the stunning landscapes of southwest France.
The house is set within mature gardens, enclosed by deep hedges for privacy. A large decked terrace connects the house to the pool, providing a lovely spot for outdoor dining and lounging in the sun. Families and friends can enjoy table tennis and pétanque, while the sunroom, with its patio doors opening onto the terrace, offers a light-filled space for meals and relaxation. Inside, the décor is cosy and inviting, with a comfortable living room and three individually styled bedrooms, each with its own colour theme.
Parentis-en-Born is rich in Landaise heritage, with its lively féria in August offering a taste of local culture. The lake’s small beaches and shallow waters are just a 10-minute drive away (or easily reached by bike), perfect for swimming and water sports. If you’re drawn to the vast Atlantic beaches and rolling waves, Biscarrosse Plage (20km) and Mimizan Plage (30km) are both within easy reach. And for a city adventure, a 50-minute train journey from Ychoux (11km) takes you straight into the heart of Bordeaux, where elegant boulevards, world-class wine, and vibrant markets await.
Whether you’re seeking lazy days by the pool, lake and ocean adventures, or cultural excursions, Maison de la Côte offers a fantastic blend of relaxation and discovery.
