Located between land and sea, in a well-known wine region
A Renaissance-style castle located in a peaceful park recently reopened following refurbishment in 2016.
This 5-star hotel offers 40 rooms and suites, most are in the Chateau with 18 rooms located at the Orangerie, just a few steps from the renovated Spa and its 2 swimming pools, hammam, jacuzzi, Sauna, 2 cabin rooms for beauty treatments and a fitness room. The rooms are furnished with sumptuous fabrics, antique furniture and marble bathrooms. The rooms and suites are all unique, and each boasts a unique cachet and an enchanting view over the park, the countryside or the outdoor swimming pool, with satellite TV, a safebox, fluffy bathrobes and slippers, and complimentary toiletries.
There is a room dedicated to wine and cognac tastings - the Cognatheque - the ideal place for a wine tasting course or to relax in the evening.

Worth knowing
Built on the site of an old medieval fortress, from the 11th Century onwards the chateau was repeatedly attacked passing regularly between French and English hands, finally becoming a French possession in the 15th Century. Purchased privately from Lorraine in the 18th Century before becoming state-owned after the revolution, the castle was completely rebuilt in 1813. In 2002 the castle was renovated and refurbished to convert it into a luxury hotel, and again refurbished in 2016.

The Restaurant
The one starred Michelin restaurant is one of the Chateau highlights, where the chef proposes a menu of fine gourmet cuisines made with local products such as the Gironde estuary caviar, honey from Mirambeau or organic products like the fruit juice.
Guests can dine in the jardin d'hiver, a covered terrace overlooking the fountains and park, and in summer can enjoy meals on the terrace.

Sports & Relaxation
The fitness room is located next to the spa and is equipped with Technogym machines.
There are 2 tennis courts and an open-air fitness trail through the surrounding 8 hectares of garden and parkland.
